Sign up to Serve

This is undoubtedly the most exciting part of our Harvest Dinner Outreach. Here is where blue latex gloves meet silver handled ladles to serve up genuine compassion and sincere connection. Our goal is both to feed our community and to let them know they are loved. Please take a look at your volunteer positions and see where you fit in.
We will need volunteers to dish out the food, work the children's tables, serve the coffee, and so much more. Volunteers will be assigned a time to serve and a time to eat. It is our hope that every volunteer will get an opportunity to spend time with our guests. When you arrive at the Moose, please park in the parking lot and enter through the Frank St entrance. [see diagram].

Food Servers

If you sign up for the food line, you will be assigned to a specific food and will dish up your dish with a pizzazz that only you can bring.

Dishes

This position is stationed in the back of the kitchen [see diagram], where you would wash the lids, serving spoons, and dishes as them come.

Desserts

Once you have been given the signal, you will slice and plate all the pies and cookies at the dessert station [see diagram]. Then when the big moment comes, you will literally be the hero of the night when you wheel the dessert cart down the rows, passing out delicious homemade sweets.

Greeters

Here you will hand out meal tickets to all our guests as they enter, holding the door open for them and waving a gentle hello.

Kitchen Crew

In the heart of the kitchen [see diagram], nestled among the pots and pans, you will be ready for the essential kitchen duties, such as manning can openers, keeping the turkey warm, and most crucially, untwisting countless bread roll twist ties.

Coffee and Drink Station

Manning the coffee and drink station [see diagram] will entail keeping the coffee, punch, and hot chocolate flowing. The grown-ups will thank you and the kids will love you. This station will begin at 5:30 pm and will also work in shifts.

Donuts and Cider

Here you will keep the donuts stacked and the cider filled, as you may be the first warm smile to greet our guests near the door [see diagram]. This station will begin at 5:30, and will also work in shifts.

Kids Corner

Volunteers at the children's table [see diagram] will assist our children's ministry as they make crafts with our younger guests.

Tear Down Crew

If saving the best for last is your motto, then have you landed in the perfect spot! We will need help after dinner to load up supplies and take them back to church, and to be unloaded there. We will also need hands to reset tables and stack chairs, empty garbage bins, and make sure no pie gets left behind.
